The hotel
Freshwater is the economy tier of The Pearl, and at Kanha it is the largest of the group's houses: 110 rooms, all on the ground floor, opened in 2022. Ninety-four are twin rooms at 245 sq ft and sixteen are family rooms at 308 with three beds. Air conditioning, a kettle, a desk and Wi-Fi in every one of them, and the campus pool, gym and gardens a short ride away.
Accommodation
Every room is on the ground floor, air-conditioned, and fitted with a kettle, a desk and Wi-Fi. The difference between the two is beds and floor area, not standard.
Ninety-four of the hundred and ten, and the room most guests at Kanha sleep in. Two separate beds, a full-height wardrobe, air conditioning, a desk with a kettle on it and a window onto the trees. The fact sheet gives it as 244.83 sq ft; we round.
Sixteen of these, sixty-three square feet larger than the Double and fitted with three beds rather than two. Comfortable bedding, functional furnishing, air conditioning, tea and coffee, Wi-Fi and a work desk. The room to ask for early if you are travelling as a family.

In the hotel
This is the economy house, so the list is shorter than the flagship's and we would rather say so. The pool, the gym and the sports academy are on the wider campus, five minutes by golf cart.
Meetings and occasions
This is the house that sleeps a conference. The meeting rooms are at the flagship a short ride away, and the campus has venues well beyond anything a hotel could hold.

Twenty-seven and a half kilometres from Rajiv Gandhi International, eleven from Kothur, and far enough past both to hear birds instead of traffic. Transfers are arranged by reservations.

Kacheguda is 47 km and about the same time. Nampally transfers from ₹1,500, Secunderabad and Kacheguda from ₹1,700.

Shamshabad is 28 km and Shadnagar 18 km, both thirty to forty minutes.
Why this hotel
No stairs and no lift anywhere in the property. It is the easiest house at Kanha to move a large group through, and the easiest for a guest who would rather not climb.
Ninety-four twin rooms and sixteen with three beds. A conference, a retreat or an extended family fits here without being split across buildings.
Gardens, the meditation halls, Babuji Vanam, the library and the sports academy are the same walk and the same buggy ride from this door as from any other.
Freshwater is the economy brand in the portfolio. The room is simple on purpose; the air conditioning, the Wi-Fi, the kettle and the housekeeping are not.
The setting
Freshwater sits inside Kanha Shanti Vanam, which Heartfulness built out of dry open ground from 2010 onwards. The gardens, the meditation halls, the nursery and the forest are the same from this door as from any other at Kanha. We did not plant any of it. We are the reason you can sleep in the middle of it without paying a resort tariff.

It is the economy house. The Pearl at Kanha is the 44-room flagship and The Pearl Wellness is the 30-room programme hotel; Freshwater is 110 rooms on one level at the entry tariff. Simpler rooms, no restaurant of its own, and exactly the same campus outside.
